Vitality takes control at the StarSeries PUBG season two finals on day two

We are at the halfway point.

After a dominant performance from the European teams on day one of the StarSeries i-League PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds season two finals yesterday, the other regions were looking to close the gap heading into day two.

Today’s matches saw 16 teams drop into Erangel, PUBG’s original map, to try and catch up with day one’s leader Method who were sitting comfortably at the top of the pack.

After all of Europe’s strengths yesterday, the leading teams faltered today. With Europe failing to show up at the start, it was South Korea’s OGN Entus Ace that challenged the leading pack with a big win in the first game of the day.

Not only did Entus win the opening match, they also secured 22 points to boost themselves up the standings. Entus then proceeded to pick up consistent places in the final four games to end the day second, 7 points away from taking the top spot.

They would have been first if not for Vitality’s two wins in game three and four and a second place finish in game two. Knights remained in third while Liquid and Method, two of yesterday’s best performers, fell out of the top five spots after a string of poor performances.

We are now halfway through the tournament with ten games left to play. With Vitality leading and Entus close behind, the other 14 teams will have their work cut out for them when play continues at 8am CT tomorrow.
