It appears a new weapon will be added to Fortnite: Battle Royale in the near future.

The Heavy AR is coming soon to Fortnite, a new in-game message indicates. The gun, which seems to resemble an AK-47, is described as being a “powerful assault rifle that is most useful when fired in short bursts.”

While there’s no official date for when the weapon will be added to the game, the term “coming soon” typically means within the next week in Fortnite. Updates usually drop on Tuesday or Thursday, but there’s a distinct possibility that the Heavy AR will be added on Nov. 4, when the Fortnitemares event comes to an end.

Epic promised a one-time event will occur at 12pm CT on Nov. 4, which has prompted players to theorize what will happen to close out Fortnite’s Halloween-themed event.

And while it’s entirely possible that the Heavy AR will become just one of the assault rifles in the game, the weapon may end up replacing one of the five existing ARs in the game, which would then head to the vault.
