A new season in Fortnite: Battle Royale is a little bit like waking up on Christmas morning. There’s new skins, new locations, and of course, new challenges to help rank up your Battle Pass.

If you want to get the awesome Ragnarok skin at tier 100, you’ll need to bang out challenges weekly. Let’s get started with week one’s tasks. This season, challenges are broken up into free ones and Battle Pass ones, so make sure to pick up the pass for 950 V-Bucks if you want to get the most out of them.

Free Challenges

Deal damage with SMGs to opponents (500) – 5 Stars

Submachine guns are awesome now, have you noticed? After recent buffs, both SMG archetypes are pretty awesome at close range. Make sure to pick them up and deal some damage to enemies for an easy five stars.

Search a Supply Llama (1) – 5 Stars

You’ll need some luck for this one. Keep your eyes peeled for these colorful guys around the map, and loot it when you see it. Only three of them spawn per game, so you might need to wait a while to finish this challenge.

Clinger, Stink Bomb or Grenade Eliminations (3) – 10 Stars

Fortnite’s throwable weapons are on display with this challenge, as you’ll need to get three eliminations with the game’s grenades in order to earn 10 stars. Make sure to pick them up when you see them, and throw them at enemies in confined spaces for maximum efficiency.

Battle Pass Challenges

Search Chests in Snobby Shores (7) – 5 Stars

Snobby Shores on the west coast of the map will be this week’s danger zone as players will be landing there in an effort to loot seven chests. Take your time if need be with this one, because you have all season to loot the chests.

Search floating Lightning Bolts (7) – 5 Stars

Lightning bolts are floating in random spots on the map, high in the sky. You’ll likely need to build up to grab these, so make sure you’ve got the materials to walk in the air when you spot them.

Follow the treasure map found in Risky Reels (1) – 10 Stars

Head to this ledge to the south of Tomato Town for an easy 10 stars.

Eliminate opponents in Retail Row (3) – 10 Stars

Retail Row survived the rifts, and it will continue to be a popular place to land once people have their fun landing at the new points of interests. Three kills in a highly populated area like this should be easy enough.
